We’ve touched on how this will be a make-or-break for Marvin Harrison Jr. multiple times on this page, but it seems as if that idea is becoming more and more mainstream by the day.
Michael Wilson has seemingly blossomed into a No. 1 wide receiver product, something that wasn’t exactly stamped on him coming out of Stanford in 2023, when he was selected in the third round.
Wilson, who is entering what is now his contract year, is in an excellent spot to prove to Ossenfort why he deserves that big contract extension—recording his first 1,000-yard season, with the bulk of those yards coming as the team’s No. 1 option.
Harrison, on the other hand, is trying to prove why the “generational talent” mantra coming out of Ohio State shouldn’t turn into bust allegations.
But Fox Sports believes that Harrison could be in line to be the team’s x-factor, saying the following about the now-to-be third-year wide receiver.

“Entering his third year, Harrison has yet to live up to the expectations that came with being the fourth overall pick in 2024. If he puts it all together in 2026, it could open up new coach Mike LaFleur’s offense, giving Arizona another top-end pass-catcher — both tight end Trey McBride and receiver Michael Wilson had more than 1,000 yards receiving last season — and lightening the box for rookie running back Jeremiyah Love, the No. 4 overall pick.”
The Cardinals' offense already has the opportunity to be explosive, but if Harrison can turn into the product he was supposed to be coming out of college, the talent could be taken to a whole other level.
